Also written D# Mixolydian. D# and Eb are the same pitch, though spelling it from D# would need double accidentals (D# E# F## G# A# B# C#), which is why Eb is the name in use.

Eb Mixolydian is the major scale with one note changed — the b7, Db. That single note is what the mode sounds like; lean on it and the colour is obvious, avoid it and you are just playing major.
